Bothered by bright headlamps?
Carl Zeiss have developed Drivesafe - a lens designed to directly combat the brightness of the latest generation of car headlamps, whilst increasing the overall clarity of your vision at night or in low lighting conditions. It is available in single vision and varifocal (progressive) types. The varifocal is aimed specifically at drivers, with a wide long-distance viewing area, and a good spread of vision at intermediate, to help us cope with the array of dials, switches and displays present in modern cars. It also works very well as a general purpose varifocal.
Practice owner Mark Gibson has been wearing these for some time now, and has noticed a significant reduction in the brightness of headlamps over the wintertime. A review in November 2015 on a leading car driving website gave positive reviews about these lenses - please click here to see this, or watch a different review below.
